If you are anything like me, keeping your vehicle shining clean is a big deal. This week we want to drop off some tips to help you keep your ride sparkling clean! Got scratches or dings? Give our team a call and we can help or let us help you upgrade your ride today!

Step 1: Wash your car

  • Grab a bucket of water, car soap, a microfiber towel (or mitt), a soft-bristled brush, and your hose. It’s time to treat your vehicle to a DIY car wash! If you choose to DIY, start by washing your vehicle from the roof down and work your way towards the bottom. Use a soft-bristled brush, in small, circular motions, to remove more stubborn stains and grease. Use a microfiber cloth to clean less dirty areas.
  • Pro Tip! Washing your vehicle on a regular basis will help keep it free of dirt, debris, and gritty residue that can accumulate over time

Step 2: Dry your vehicle

  • Next, rinse your car as you go to prevent any soap and water from drying on your car which can end up leaving spots. The ideal car-washing method is to soap up and wash an area, followed by a quick rinse, before moving on to another area of the vehicle.
  • Use a microfiber towel to get rid of any loose and excess water that is on your vehicle. Once that is done, allow your vehicle to air dry completely before proceeding to the detailing phase!

*Part 3: Detail your car *

  • You’ll need a clay bar, compound, glaze, microfiber towels, and polish. First, we recommend using either a microfiber towel or mitt when working with any detailing compound, glaze, or polish. On the surface of your vehicle, you can still find dirt, even after washing it! A microfiber towel should help it lift dirt away from the surface and this won’t cause any scratching to your paint.
  • Don’t forget to clean and shine your tires, too! This is one of the most overlooked areas of a vehicle but we’re here to remind you to spend a little TLC in this area!

Part 4: Wax your vehicle

  • In this step, you will need a car buffer, car wax, polisher, microfiber towels, and paint conditioner to get the job done! Apply wax using a microfiber towel or a clean buffing pad using the car buffer. Then, proceed with applying the wax a section at a time, allowing the wax to set before removal. Lastly, take your microfiber cloth and in circular motions with the buffer, rub in the wax. Repeat this process until you have waxed your vehicle’s entire surface.
