Jan 31, 2019

WELCOME TO OUR BLOG

Winter weather can be a bit …. indecisive. And when you’re headed into those winter weather conditions, you need to know what your vehicle needs. This week, we have a few winter driving tips that will help you make it through the winter with ease and no hiccups. Our first recommendation? Have your vehicle checked over by our team to make sure it is in proper condition? You can give us a call or schedule your appointment online today! Either way, start with a service appointment, and follow up with the tips below!

Winter Driving Tips:

  • Avoid driving when you are tired, at all costs. Being rested behind the wheel means you will be more alert which will lead to fewer hazards and potential collisions.
  • DO NOT let your vehicle warm up in an enclosed area, such as a garage.
  • Always make sure your tires are filled to the correct PSI number.
  • To avoid gas line freezes, always keep your gas tank filled to at least a half tank.
  • In snowy, cold, or rainy weather, avoid using your parking brake.
  • In those same weather conditions, avoid using cruise control.
  • ALWAYS look and steer in the direction you want your vehicle to go in.
  • ALWAYS wear your seatbelt in your vehicle no matter the duration of your trip.
  • Check the forecast, road conditions, and traffic before heading out, if roads are closed or look bad – stay home and do not risk your safety.
  • Have your vehicle checked by a technician to ensure it is in proper working condition and can conquer winter weather with ease!
